In warm sunny weather cars become ovens, with temperatures soaring to 120°F/49°C or even higher. Because of this, the RSPCA advises that animals are never left inside cars.
If an animal left in a car is panting for breath it may be starting to suffer from heatstroke, which can kill an animal very quickly.
Leaving windows open or putting a bowl of water in the car does not help.
Owners who put an animal at risk by leaving it inside a locked car could face prosecution.
Please help us get this message across this summer. It will save more dogs from suffering and avoid the need for us to prosecute owners.
Dogs can die from heatstroke in a minimum of 20 minutes. If you see a dog left inside a parked car on a warm day, please contact the Police on 999 for assistance. In the event of the police being unable to attend, please contact our 24-hour Cruelty and Advice telephone line 0300 1234 999.

this is in spanish in english it says the law is you can not have your animal in a autmobile without the windows down. you need to have the windows of the car down 7 or 8 inches for the animal to breathe in the hot temperatures in the car. you you can be arrested by the police if you have a animal in the car with no windows down for them to breathe.there have been many animals die in hot automibles with no window’s down to breathe this is cruelty to animals!
Actually…. You should just notify animal control and have them go speak to them. That is illegal in most states. I wouldn’t take chances, please try to contact someone that can come out and speak to them and let them know than not only can they kill their dog, they are commiting a crime.
I’m not saying you should get them in trouble, but they need to know how SERIOUS leaving your dog in the car is.
Even 7 or 8 inches is not enough. It can become deadly hot inside easier than people realize. I had a friends mom who’s dachshund died in the car, she left the windows halfway down for about 15 minutes. It’s not enough.

If you go to a local veterinarian, they probably have literature. They usually have flyers you leave on car windows, etc.
Wish all postal carriers were like you.

This is a very good site for translating not only English to Spanish but just about any language!
You can print out what you wish to tell them.
I hope you find it useful!

A better idea is call animal control and allow them to notify them of the regs.
